MOOC Research

The “MOOC Factory” represents a rich field of research for computer and communications scientists at the Centre Virchow-Villermé.

CVV researchers in information and communication sciences examine MOOCs in terms of academic quality, ensure the suitability of the courses offered, and modify the courses if required.

These researchers are particularly interested in how MOOCs can play a transformational role in the higher education landscape, with the ever-growing questions of digital literacy, knowledge transfer using innovative formats, as well as the analysis of uses within MOOCs and how the lecturer can influence the student representations of the course and the studied topic.

One initial result of this research is a joint paper published with Olivier Aïm (GRIPICParis Sorbonne-CELSA).
