The four workshops take their starting point from the Post-2015 development agenda, putting the light on different aspects of Global Health. In October 2014 the Centre Virchow-Villermé for Public-Health Paris-Berlin invited experts from ministries from France and Germany, from international organisations, from civil society, from universities, as well as students, to explore the strategies and policies that exist in the two countries in relation to select Global Health issues and to gain information, where common initiatives already exist.
On May 12, 2015 the third workshop will take place at the German Historical Institute in Paris. We will compare French and German Global Health strategies in the area of communicable and non-communicable diseases and invited experts from Robert-Koch-Institute, Pasteur Institute as well as speakers from French and German health ministries, from pharmaceutical industry and universities. A report will be published and available on the website.
The Comparison of Education and Research in Global Health in France and Germany is the topic of the fourth Franco-German workshop on Global Health on July 3, 2015, at the French Embassy in Berlin. Faculty members from France and Germany will present how Global Health education is organised and supported in both countries, student initiatives will present their projects and finally different aspects of research in Global Health will be addressed. The workshop is open to the public.
