The Centre Virchow-Villermé aims to contribute to the improvement of health in Europe and in the world. One important component for the centre is the exchange of knowledge and international networking with other actors from academia, industry and governements.
The Centre Virchow-Villermé promotes cooperations and the exchange of professors and researchers and students through course offerings and joint events such as workshops or internships.
Knowledge of the strategies and priorities of France and Germany in public health first allows the respective nations to learn from each other and generate, over time, common priority actions. This highlighting is enhanced through the development of bilateral workshops and conferences, exchange of faculty, postgraduates and students.
Internationally, the Centre promotes the sharing of ideas on Public Health in several health initiatives and networks including academia, civil society, politics and the private sector. Since its creation the Centre Virchow-Villermé closely cooperates with the World Health Summit and North-South Networks in Public Health.
